Appliance Testing & Repair

The DFF has an experienced team of electrical appliance service engineers that have been providing quality tested and guaranteed appliances for reuse projects in Devon since 1998. They repair a wide range of electrical and electronic appliances to the FRN (Furniture Reuse Network) national quality standards. The main workshop is at the DFF Devon ARC (Appliance Repair Centre) and there are other smaller ones based in our reuse shops.

There our training opportunities for people to either train as electrical service engineers or shorter courses in Portable Appliance Testing (PAT). The DFF has of qualified trainers and is planning to set up accredited training courses in the near future.

Home Repair Service

This is an exciting new service to provide a safe, reliable home repair service for vulnerable and elderly people by a team of experienced electrical service engineers who have been thoroughly vetted and police checked be the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB). The project will start in Teignbridge initially but will be extended to other areas later.
