Projects operated by DFF are committed to providing high quality training, supervision and staff development opportunities for all employees. All DFF projects welcome the contribution from volunteers on a range of activities and we endeavour to provide structured and positive support and advice to all volunteers, especially those with particular support needs.

Standards and compliance

The DFF has a comprehensive health and safety policy which is fully implemented and continually monitored. The organisation is committed to providing equal opportunities for all staff and volunteers and actively strives to achieve the objectives of its environmental policy.

All electrical goods sent to member or associate projects or made available directly to the public are PAT tested by qualified engineers and are repaired following national guidelines, as recommended by the Furniture Recycling Network. The DFF offers its experience in developing such policies to help other organisations in the sector.
